stretch constant.

These images were generated with Freecloth 0.7.1, using the default simulation parameters and 66x66 patches. The horizontal axis shows the progression of the simulation over time, and the vertical axis shows the effects of changing the stretch parameter. The default value for the stretch parameter is 100.

As can be seen here, small changes to the stretch parameter have relatively little effect on the simulation. This is mostly due to the default strength of the stretch force. For comparison, the shear force is an order of magnitude weaker than the shear force by default. Baraff & Witkin's algorithm depends on little to no stretch occurring in the cloth; a number of formulas break down if the stretch force is too low and stretch is allowed.
