Transit Schedule Gadget
This transit schedule gadget can be used to quickly see public transit departuring from your regular stops in the next hour on your iGoogle page. The gadget relies on published schedules, and does not have any information about the current locations of transit vehicles.
Cities
At present, the gadget only supports Portland (OR) and Dallas (TX).
In theory, it could use data from any city with publicly available data in the Google Transit Feed format.
Stop IDs
Each transit stop in a city has a unique “Stop ID” or “Stop Number,” and you need to tell the gadget which transit stop you’re interested in. Use the following links to find stop IDs within Portland, OR.
- Dallas: DART Location Lookup
- Portland: TriMet Stops & Stations; also, the Fareless Square Map includes stop numbers. Move the mouse over a bus stop (black square symbol) to see IDs.
