Abstract:
In this paper, I present a method for acquiring and measuring the shape and
deformation of a rectangular sheet of cloth. Stereo images and a correspondence
algorithm are used to acquire a depth map of the cloth. The cloth has a grid
printed on it, and points on this grid are detected to measure deformation.
The technique presented here could be used to recover video sequences of
moving cloth, or to measure the material properties of a sheet of cloth.
